Abstract

After Jones had designated a distinctive disease entity as adenoma of the nipple in 1955, Handley, Taylor and others have studied and reported it till now. Nipple adenoma shows simi lar signs and symptoms with Paget's disease and similar
histopathologic
features with sweat gland adenoma. And it arises from skin appendages of the nipple. Thus it differs from nipple duct adenoma and tubular carcinoma histopathologically. It's treatment varies from local excision to total mastectomy.
We report two women having locally infiltrative neoplasm of the nipple that were diagnosed as adenomas of the nipple and treated at the Department of General Surgery, National Medical Center including the reveiw of the related literatures.
